MACBOR Expands Its Adventure Motorcycle Range
MACBOR’s six new motorcycles represent a significant step in the company’s product development strategy. The XC 125 Enduro and XC 125 SM share a 125 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 15 hp, a six-speed gearbox, dual-channel ABS and a curb weight of 119 kg. The XC 125 SM adopts a Supermotard configuration with 17-inch wheels, targeting riders seeking agile handling and dynamic urban performance. Both motorcycles build on the success of the Montana XR1 125, one of MACBOR’s best-selling models.
XC 300 Enduro and XC 300 Rally Target Off-Road Riders
MACBOR also introduced two new mid-displacement motorcycles designed for recreational off-road riding and long-distance adventure. The XC 300 Enduro features a single-cylinder engine delivering 33.5 hp and 27 Nm of torque. With a curb weight of 149 kg, an 11-liter fuel tank, 250 mm of front suspension travel and switchable ABS, the motorcycle combines lightweight construction with off-road capability. The XC 300 Rally shares the Enduro model’s mechanical foundation but offers additional equipment for extended adventures. Montana XR6 Becomes MACBOR’s New Adventure Flagship
One of the most significant introductions at EICMA 2026 was the Montana XR6, MACBOR’s upcoming flagship Adventure motorcycle. Equipped with a 625 cc twin-cylinder engine producing 66 hp and 59 Nm of torque, the Montana XR6 is designed for both road touring and off-road exploration. The motorcycle introduces advanced electronic equipment, including adaptive front and rear suspension that allows the seat height to be adjusted between 810 mm and 835 mm.

Additional features include front and rear cameras, a 20-liter fuel tank, a 6.75-inch TFT dashboard, Full LED lighting, switchable ABS and Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires. These technologies represent an important development in MACBOR’s approach to motorcycle safety, comfort and versatility.
MACBOR Announces Dakar Rally 2027 Entry with Gerard Farrés
Alongside its new motorcycle launches, MACBOR announced plans to compete in the Dakar Rally 2027 as an official team for the first time. The competition, scheduled for January 9–23, 2027, will see the Spanish brand participate alongside Gerard Farrés, one of Spain’s most experienced rally raid competitors.
Farrés has competed in the Dakar Rally 19 times and achieved a podium finish in the motorcycle category in 2017. He also secured second place in the Side-by-Side category in 2022. The 2027 edition will mark his return to the Dakar motorcycle category for the first time since 2018. MACBOR considers its Dakar participation an important opportunity to strengthen international brand recognition while reinforcing its identity around adventure, exploration and continuous development.
MACBOR Strengthens Its International Motorcycle Market Presence
Founded in 1999 and owned by Grupo Motos Bordoy, MACBOR initially focused on motorcycles for younger riders before expanding into the 125 cc and 250 cc segments in 2017. The company entered the mid-displacement Adventure motorcycle market in 2020 with the Montana XR5 500 and subsequently expanded its Street, Scrambler and Custom offerings. After establishing its position in Spain, MACBOR began international expansion in Portugal in 2020 and entered France in early 2025.
Today, the brand operates in 15 markets, supported by its growing motorcycle portfolio and its commitment to Barcelona-led design. With six new motorcycle prototypes, an expanding Adventure range and its upcoming Dakar Rally debut, MACBOR used EICMA 2026 to demonstrate its ambitions for further international growth.
