Bigger brother to the popular Terrain 125, the T380 marks the first foray into larger capacity bikes for Sinnis, a company whose core business has, since 2005, been built on making fun, affordable learner-legal small-capacity machines. It comes at a pivotal point in a new direction for the brand, with the introduction of a fresh image, website and a new ‘digital way of doing things’. Owner and Director Daqi Fan says, “our riders are growing up, and so are we.”

Three years since the launch of the Terrain, the most popular model of Sinnis’ 125cc range so far, the T380 is aiming to knock its predecessor off the top spot. “It’s all about brand loyalty,” Daqi says.

“Community has been key in Sinnis’ transformation from small business to nationally-loved brand with the Terrain at its centre. Owners all over the country have banded together via social media to tackle green lanes, byways and peaks on their small-capacity steeds over the past couple of years. But once they take their full bike licence, they have to choose another manufacturer. The T380 is a dedication to those 125cc riders who have helped us grow. We wanted to bring riders a bike that’s as affordable, fun and practical as it’s younger sibling but with 100% more power and features to warrant stepping up a grade.”

The liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, single overhead camshaft (SOHC) engine is the most powerful Sinnis has released. With a peak power of 37bhp at 9,000 RPM and 35 Nm of torque at 6,500RPM, it delivers on both performance and usability. The 125 has been to Mongolia and back, and at 300 miles range on a single tank the T380 will take you further, faster, with the torque for tricky manoeuvres on uneven ground. This performance is set to rival the top mid-capacity adventure bikes, but at half the cost—a guide retail price of £4,495.

Many riders will be looking at this as their first big bike and Sinnis have historically brought machines to market that feel more substantial than their class might suggest. Features like dual-piston radially-mounted twin-front wavy discs, a steel trellis frame, and high grade cast aluminium wheels with improved all-terrain tread pattern tyres will satisfy the need for quality engineering. The T380 also boasts added extras including a large LCD dash screen, uniquedual LED headlights, optional tyre pressure monitors and an optional 105L of luggage capacity.

Toro Exhausts is also set to bring out exclusive performance systems for the bike post-launch.

The T380 debuted at Overland 2019 and was highly rated by reviewers. Due to COVID-19, the launch was delayed but with demand for the next generation adventure bike still high, the brand is offering customers the opportunity to secure one of the first to land on UK shores. Head to the Terrain 380 presale page on the Sinnis Motorcycles website to pay a refundable deposit of £100 and reserve your T380 today. The first machines are scheduled to arrive at theend of October (COVID-19-dependent). Presale customers will get a notification to visit their local dealer so they can pay the remaining balance and pick up their new machine.

Sinnis Motorcycles has been designing awesome, affordable small-capacity motorcycles and scooters for the UK market since 2005. Based in Brighton, Sussex, the manufacturer aims to make the world of two wheels accessible to all kinds of riders. The key to this vision is to bring the most experienced people in motorcycle marketing, engineering, and product design into the business and work tirelessly to push the limits of what small-capacity motorcycles can be.
