Honda Announces and Launches All-new Ace110 Light Motorcycle Suitable for Business Use in Nigeria

The Ace110 retains the image of its larger sibling, the Ace125 which is popular with business users, yet through maintaining quality while reducing production costs, will be available at an affordable price of 220,000 Nigerian Naira (NGN: approximately 600 US Dollars*). Honda aims to sell 80,000 units in the first year and 110,000 units the following year. The Ace110 goes on sale in Nigeria today.

The Ace110 is equipped with the same engine as the CG110, a 110cc engine with proven durability and fuel efficiency. The Ace110’s fuel tank is 45% larger than the CG110, realizing a longer travel distance. Customer satisfaction and convenience have been improved with features such as a more comfortable seat and highly durable front and rear suspension. Honda aims to enhance sales in Africa’s largest market, Nigeria, by introducing Ace110, a model which realizes Honda’s passion to “serve people worldwide with the joy of expanding their life’s potential.”

The Nigerian motorcycle market was approximately 1 million units in 2015, but due to foreign currency procurements, fell to approximately 500 thousand units in 2017. Honda believes the Nigerian economy will recover in 2018 due to improved foreign currency liquidity, and plans to sell 100 thousand units during this period.
